Waitakere Ranges to Auckland, New Zealand

Last stop before entering the city of Auckland was at Nihotupu Dam which is is one of five reservoirs in the Waitakere Ranges that supply water to Auckland. With all the recent rains it was quite a pretty site to see the water running over into the overflow channel.   Select the photo below to see where this water goes next. We had a bit of a drive around Auckland then it was time to drop off the camper and head to the airport. We will definitely be back!
